Josep Carreras (1920-2022, Begur) took the photographic report of the filming in Begur of the movie “Suddenly, Last Summer,” directed by Joseph Mankiewicz and starring the actress Elizabeth Taylor. These photographs are a small sample of the splendid images captured that summer of 1959 through his Leica.

A multifaceted artist and passionate photographer, he began his pursuit of live portraits of rock and jazz musicians, in the late 70s, exhibiting in diverse places such as the Palau de Pedralbes, Plau Robert and the Liceu Conservatory. He started to portray actors, actresses and directors, beginning a collection that he started to exhibit on the streets of Begur.

Jack Lemmon was a master of human emotions, capable of bringing both the most slapstick comedy and the deepest drama to the screen with prodigious naturalness. Born a hundred years ago, in 1925 in Boston, the Festival pays tribute to him with this exhibition we have titled ‘Un toc de llimona’ (A Twist of Lemmon), the same title as the album Lemmon recorded in 1958, where the actor performs a dozen songs with piano and voice.
