Plaça d’Esteva i Cruañas was packed to capacity for the screening of the French comedy ‘C’était Mieux Demain’. This year, the Begur Comedy Film Fest celebrates its 12th edition from October 2 to 12.
The Begur Summer Film Fest 2026 kicked off on a high note. The festival’s first session, held this Monday, August 10 at Plaça Esteva i Cruañas, was completely sold out and brought together a large audience for a night of outdoor cinema.

The film chosen to open this edition of the Begur Summer Film Fest was ‘C’était mieux demain’ by French director Vinciane Millereau, a comedy starring Elsa Zylberstein and Didier Bourdon.
The screening transformed Plaça Esteva i Cruañas into a large outdoor cinema full of smiles and a great atmosphere among the audience.
Festival Director Clara Dato was extremely pleased with this kickoff to the 2026 activities:
“We have started the festival in the best possible way, with a sold-out session and an audience that truly appreciates the filmmakers’ work with their applause.”

Enjoying Begur in a whole new way
This event also served as the official kickoff for a new edition of the Begur Summer Film Fest. This summer cinema program is linked to the Begur Comedy Film Fest, which will celebrate its 12th edition this year from October 2 to 12, and the screened film is part of its official section.
The evening was completed with a food offer by Tximeleta Street Food, which complemented the outdoor cinema session and helped turn the space into a gathering point for film lovers on this summer night.
The festival will continue its programming over the coming weeks… and more news will be announced soon! All with an eye already set on the main Begur Comedy Film Fest event this October.
